TB infection

Ethambutol hydrochloride is an antibacterial prescription medicine approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of active tuberculosis (TB) of the lungs. (Active TB is also called TB disease.) TB can be an opportunistic infection (OI) of HIV.

Isoniazid (INH) is an antibiotic indicated in the first-line treatment of active Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved INH for the following indications: Active tuberculosis (TB) infection can present as fever, chills, night sweats, cough, hemoptysis, and weight loss.
